Unexpected Hailstorm in Islamabad Caught People off guard

On Wednesday (today), Islamabad witnessed an unexpected hailstorm that caught people off guard, which also damaged some vehicles as well as people's houses. People in Islamabad said that this is one of the biggest hailstorms they have seen in their lives. It was totally unexpected, and it caught people off guard as well, which resulted in damage to people's cars, house windows, and front screens of cars, and it also injured some people as well.

Some media websites, like ProPakistani, called it “Destructive Hailstorm Breaks Hundreds of Cars in Islamabad,” and they have posted details about how this hailstorm has caused damage to hundreds of cars that are parked in houses or in commercial areas. It was reported by Geo News that the hailstorm lasted for 35 minutes or so. Moreover, Geo News reported that the winds were so strong that no one was able to counter the hailstorm, and it battered everything. The media reported that the Tarnol area is the worst affected area due to the sudden hailstorm.

Even elected MNAs and MPAs posted on social media regarding this hailstorm that they have not witnessed such a hailstorm in their entire lives, and such a sudden hailstorm shows that there are major issues with climate change. Moreover, some of the MNAs and MPAs are saying that this is all due to global warming, which has changed the entire climate of other countries. Sudden rainfall and sudden climate changes are due to hailstorms.

The NDMA has warned and forecasted that this year the rainfall will be below average, the heat will be above normal, and as the days go by, the temperature will rise further, which will create extra heat during the summer. The summer is going to be one of the worst summers due to global warming.
