Trump Offers Green Cards To Foreign Students.
Trump's biggest policy shift.
There has been a policy shift from Trump's own policy of 2017. If you compare this time, Donald Trump is mature and well thought of what he wants. There is no doubt that there will be a big policy shift towards Russia, Ukraine, and other countries when Trump officially takes charge of its office.
The biggest change you see in the USA is that Trump officials say, Free Imran Khan. At the moment, the Biden administration doesn't even want to discuss Imran Khan; however, Richard Grenell's social media accounts post does not sleep without mentioning and scolding anti-Imran Khan media in Pakistan, which is one of the biggest policy changes in the USA.
Moreover, in 2017, all Trump policies were to send back immigrant Muslims back to their countries, and yes, still he won; however, many experts said it will not be possible for Trump to send back those Muslims. Those people followed the process, and they got their immigrant status via due process, and Trump cannot disturb it; however, if he does, then it will disturb everyone, not just selective Muslim countries. Therefore, all those claims made by Trump in late 2017 were just talk, and he did not even think to implement them, let alone lawmakers in the USA.
It is a surprise that the majority of Muslims voted for Trump this time, and Trump won the 2024 election in the USA. It can be said that Trump won due to bad Biden policies, and also people like Trump policies better compared to Biden. However, the biggest change in Trump's policies this time compared to the 2018 era is pro-immigrant policies.
Trump offers green cards to foreign students.
A surprise move by Trump was that he said that his admin will try to make a law that will allow every foreign student who graduates from the USA or does a diploma to get a Green Card to be in the USA and build his or her better future. Trump said in June 2024, in a podcast, he made a surprise statement that he wants foreign students who study in the USA, when they complete their studies, to get a Green Card, and they should stay in this country and make their lives better.
This statement surprised many, and many think that this will be a big challenge, as many third-world countries, like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, African countries, etc., want to go abroad for better jobs, study, and get immigrant status. It will surely make his first priority to get a USA green card if Trump's statements are made into laws. However, it will be a challenge for the USA itself, as local job opportunities will have an impact, and many companies would surely like to have cheap, hardworking, and more skilled employees.
Therefore, it is a challenge, which has pros and cons for locals as well. This requires a debate, and we hope that the USA relaxes its visa policies so that every skilled and talented individual can take advantage of that.
