The Pak Team Losing To NZ Yesterday Was Expected.

Yesterday, the Pakistan cricket team did exactly what they are capable of doing. Therefore, losing yesterday's match against New Zealand was not a surprise to many people. The Pakistan cricket team performed according to realistic experts expectations. The Pakistan cricket team is lacking performance, planning, and skills, which was expected since the start of the tri-nation series, and PCB did not even try to correct it and went ahead with the same team combination.

Moreover, many analyses are blaming Babar Azam for playing too slowly and making the ODI match a test match, which automatically put pressure on the rest of the players coming to bat. However, people do not see the bigger issue than yesterday's Babar Azam batting performance, which is that all of our 3 main fast bowlers cannot bowl yorkers, reverse swing, and different variations to deceive the batsman at death overs.

To be honest, Pakistan's batters played according to their standard, and they are playing modestly; however, the real issue is Pakistan's bowling attack. Spinners cannot contain or slow down runs, and bowlers cannot take early wickets. This decline has been since the Asia Cup 2023. We wonder what our selectors have seen in Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf, which is the main cause of Pakistan's dismissal performance since the Asia Cup 2023, and they are the sole reason Pakistan's bowling attack leaks runs in death overs.

To be fair, Naseem Shah is the only bowler who is trying to perform and looks lethal. However, the likes of Shaheen Shah and Haris Rauf did not even try in the death overs, or they do not even care that they are leaking runs over and over again since the Asia Cup 2023. Moreover, what is surprising is that selectors are not even bothered to correct or drop the players; neither the chairman of PCB is worried nor the Pakistan cricket team coach.

Moreover, the Pakistan cricket team's next match is against India in Dubai on February 23rd, and if the Pakistan team loses that match, which is highly likely due to the Pakistan team neither being able to stop the flow of runs during the middle of overs and death overs, then Pakistan will be almost out from the Champions Trophy 2025.
