Starlink registered with SCEP and the government to hire a firm for the framework.

Starlink is based on a telecommunications company which is different from the local internet. While the current internet is based on cable wire, Starlink is based on a satellite link, and it does not require any cable to work. Therefore, countries like Pakistan can take a lot of advantage of it due to frequent disconnections, outages, and shutdowns of the internet.

Elon Musk is the owner of Starlink, and he recently replied to a reporter in Pakistan, and she asked on X (Twitter) when Starlink will be available in Pakistan, and Elon Musk replied that he is waiting for Pakistani government approval. Now the IT minister has confirmed that Starlink is registered under SECP, and now a company will be hired to help to develop a regulatory framework for Starlink, which focuses on lowering the price to Pakistan's standard and regulating it according to country laws.
