
SBP Confirms New Currency Notes for Eid-ul-Fitr 2025
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) clarified that there would be no shortage of new currency notes for Eid-ul-Fitr 2025. SBP has shut down all the rumors that social media was posting that Pakistani citizens would be facing a shortage of new currency notes during Eid-ul-Fitr and there would be a blockage of new notes in the bank's ATMs. SBP has said that they will continue to issue new currency notes to commercial banks and ATMs.

SBP has said that they are committed to providing new currency during Eid-ul-Fitr and that there will be no shortage of new currency notes for the Eid festival. Moreover, SBP issued a statement that they have already issued around PKR 27 billion in new notes to 17,000 bank branches in Pakistan, and they are ensuring that the ATMs do have available cash as well as new currency notes. Moreover, the State Bank of Pakistan clarified that they would continue the practice of issuing new currency notes; therefore, there was no disruption to accessing the new currency notes.
Moreover, SBP has said that they will do everything possible so that people can have easy access to new currency or fresh notes for the Eid festival. Moreover, SBP has also formed a special team to monitor and manage commercial bank ATMs so that people do not have any issues accessing new notes issued by the State Bank of Pakistan. Moreover, SBP during the EID festival ensures that there is no shortage of fresh new currency notes and people can gain easy access to getting those notes.
