Sanam Teri Kasam Rerelease Smashes Box Office

Sanam Teri Kasam was released in 2016, and Mawra Hocane was playing the female leading role along with Harshvardhan Rane, who was playing the leading male role in the film. At its first launch, it did not meet expectations, and it was considered a flop in 2016.  

Sanam Teri Kasam was released in 2016 and was only able to make 91 million Indian rupees, and it did not generate revenue to be called at least break-even at the time, as the Indian revenue scope for big-screen movies is very high and competition is very tough. Bollywood releases nearly 1000–1200 movies per year, and the stakes are too high. Indian directors and producers say that a blockbuster is a golden ticket for the movie, and it is the same as a lottery ticket for becoming a blockbuster.  

Sanam Teri Kasam has been rereleased, and it is smashing the box office, and it has made more revenue than the original release did. Sanam Teri Kasam made only 91 million Indian rupees overall at its first release, and now the Sanam Teri Kasam rerelease has made 95 million Indian rupees in just 2 days. Moreover, the Indian media reports that the Sanam Teri Kasam rerelease has outpaced even Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani rerelease, and it has sold tickets 168% more compared to the Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani rerelease.  

It is a massive turnaround for the movie, cast, and director, as it shows that Indian people love watching Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane's performance, and it shows that they love to watch Pakistani stars on the big screen, and they would love to see Mawra Hocane doing more Bollywood movies in the future. There is no doubt that Mawra Hocane is a talented actress, and her marriage with Ameer Gilani's trend played a part in making the rerelease of Sanam Teri Kasam successful.
