PCB and BCB Swap ODI for T20 Series in May 2025

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Bangladesh Cricket Board both at first agreed to schedule an ODI series, which was suggested to start in May 2025. However, both cricket boards have mutually agreed to pay for the T20 series instead of playing an ODI series, which was decided in the first place.

Moreover, both teams have played 3 ODI matches and 3 T20 matches against each other in Bangladesh, and now Dunya News reports that all matches have been revised, and now Pakistan will play 5 T20 matches against Bangladesh. Pakistan may tour Bangladesh in May to play these matches. Both teams, Pakistan and Bangladesh, are struggling to find a proper replacement for the T20 specialist.

However, the Pakistani side has more serious issues because Bangladesh still has better players than Pakistan for ODI and Test formats.   Pakistan cricket is in a decline because the Pakistan cricket board is unable to build proper quality players, and instead, the board is now used to substandard players who perform once in a blue moon.

Pakistan now lags behind in bowling, fielding, and batting. Even the Punjab minister said that Pakistan is playing like the old style of cricket, while the other teams now play in an aggressive modern way. The Pakistan cricket team and its cricket board require serious reforms and need to find proper coaches and players who can win their matches.

It is expected that the Bangladesh cricket team will give the Pakistan cricket team a serious competition in the upcoming T20 series, which will be held in Bangladesh in May 2025.
