Pakistan Warns India that Indus River Treaty Violation will be an Act of War

Pakistan has clarified that any misadventure by India will be dealt with in the same manner that India deserves. Today's NSC meeting was convened in response to the India security meeting that took place yesterday. Moreover, yesterday India suspended Pakistan's treaty with India for the Indus River, which is termed a gross violation of international law, and it is called illegal. Moreover, India also announced the closure of the Wagah Border and suspended all visas for Pakistan, including trade with Pakistan as well. Moreover, India has suspended the security of the Pakistani embassy in India and removed all barricades as well.

However, today Pakistan opposed tit-for-tat against India and said that the Indus River water is Pakistan's right, and India cannot stop it. Moreover, if India tries to stop it, then there will be a declaration of war by India, which Pakistan will act strongly against. Moreover, Pakistan has clarified that Pakistan has nothing to do with Kashmir events, and it is Indian propaganda that any event in India is linked with Pakistan. Moreover, even some experts in India state that lack of security was the major reason for this event, which has nothing to do with Pakistan.

Here are the details of measures that Pakistan has announced against India toda

Key NSC decisions

  • Pakistan rejects India’s suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty
  • Water diversion will be treated as an act of war
