Major Update on Haris Rauf Injury

According to ProPakistani and Dawn News, Haris Rauf has been declared totally fit to play all Champions Trophy matches, and it is expected that the Pakistan team might drop Fahim Ashraf to take a position for Haris Rauf playing 11 Champions Trophy matches.  

Furthermore, Harris sustained an injury during the opening match of the tri-nation series against New Zealand. In both the remaining tri-nation series matches against South Africa and New Zealand, he received a rest.  

Haris Rauf experienced a muscular strain on his lower chest wall, leading to numerous questions and reports that he might also miss the Champions Trophy. Reports say that Haris Rauf was purposely given for the remaining two matches of the tri-nation series so that there are no surprises for the Champions Trophy and Haris during the time he gets fully fit to play all matches of the Champions Trophy 2025, which is being held in Pakistan and Dubai.  

Haris Rauf is a moral booster for the Pakistan cricket team because Shaheen Shah Afridi and Abrar Ahmed failed to get regular wickets in the tri-nation series, which was the main reason Pakistan lost its 2 matches against New Zealand.  

It is a mind-boggling decision made by Pakistan's cricket team selectors to include Abrar Ahmed for the Champions Trophy squad because he is unable to spin the ball, while selectors nicknamed him a mystery spinner. His selection in the Champions Trophy squad will remain a mystery. We are shocked to say this, but even the likes of Mohammad Nawaz can spin the ball more than Abrar Ahmed.  

The Pakistan cricket team and management will surely want to win all their matches in the Champions Trophy, and they will want to go with the best playing 11 to win the match against New Zealand tomorrow.
