Ramadan is a month for more worship, charity, and acts of kindness toward people. It's also usually the time for festive gatherings marking the end of fasting. Eid al-Fitr refers to the feast, or celebration. The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is the committee that gives the tentative date for Eid-ul-Fitr in Pakistan when the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meets at the end of Ramadan to schedule a meeting for the moon sighting to determine the official date of Ramadan, and once the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee officially announces the date of Eid-ul-Fitr, people rush to grocery stores, shopping plazas, and other important stores to celebrate Eid properly the next day.

How People Celebrate Eid-Ul-Fitr in Pakistan ?

Like the rest of the Muslim countries, Eid al-Fitr is a national and official holiday in Pakistan, and every government and private sector is closed due to the government announcing or declaring it as an official holiday. In major cities, government employees, private employees, managers, clerks, or any government official travel to their origin cities to celebrate the Eid-Ul-Fitr festival. Before celebrating Eid, Muslims have to pray Eid Salah (prayer takes place early in the morning on Eid-Ul-Fitr's 1st day and then people greet and hug each other, congratulating them with Eid Mubarak). Officially, Eid holidays are officially 3 days. However, at times these holidays last longer than 3 days in the private sector due to traveling out of cities and for other private reasons.

Moreover, Pakistanis celebrate Eid by visiting their elders, family members, and friends. Everyone in Pakistan visits their relatives, friends, and families by traveling to their houses, or those family members travel to their houses and greet Eid Mubarak. These days, people are relaxed; they have stopped thinking about their daily routine talks, and Pakistani people only talk positively and create positive vibes.

Moreover, overseas Pakistanis are the major contributors to giving Zakat in Pakistan during the Ramadan days as they send more than usual remittance inflows to Pakistan for their family members' shopping, expenses, and giving charity to needy people. Moreover, these people travel to Pakistan during the last days of Ramadan to celebrate Eid in Pakistan, or they book tickets for their members to travel out of Pakistan to celebrate Eid. Moreover, Pakistanis also travel to northern areas or mountain areas to travel during Eid days to relax. Additionally, famous areas to travel to during the Eid holidays are the Nathia Gali and Murree areas in Pakistan. However, people have witnessed that these days it is crowded and packed. Therefore, people who are traveling during Eid days might get stuck, and it can take a very long process to reach their desired destination. Therefore, it is advisable to travel the day before Eid-ul-Fitr so that they can avoid traffic and rush.

EIDI

EIDI is given during Eid-ul-Fitr during Ramadan days as a gift, and it is the hallmark of Eid-ul-Fitr during Eid days. Usually, Eidi is given by the elderly or senior citizens to kids, teenagers, and other small groups. Moreover, kids and teenagers collect Eidi to buy their desired products or services for which they have waited for a year or so. Moreover, this is the best time for kids and teenagers to collect money and save money. Moreover, Eidi is the backbone of Eid-ul-Fitr for Muslims. Moreover, Pakistani girls and boys collect Eidi and go for a long day shopping as well.
