Delhi Capitals beat Rajasthan Royals Amid Super Over

Delhi Capitals managed to draw the match with Rajasthan Royals, which was a sure shot at winning the match. However, due to Mitchell Starc's brilliant last-over bowling spell, Delhi Capitals managed to draw the match with Rajasthan Royals and took the match to super overs. Mitchell Starc was praised with “This is what he is paid for,” and he justified his expensive bidding in the IPL, which many players in the IPL 2025 are failing to do.

Delhi Capitals managed to take the match into a super over by drawing the match. As expected, Mitchell Starc bowled a super over and managed to take 2 wickets in the super over. Rajasthan Royals only managed to make 11 runs and posted that target of 12 runs. Delhi Capitals chased down the target with ease with a massive hitting six by Stubbs.

Delhi Capitals started the match by batting first and posted a total of 188 for 5. Abishek Porel made 49 runs by facing 37 balls, KL Rahul made 38 runs by facing 32 balls, and Tristan Stubbs made 34 runs by facing only 18 balls. Only Jofra Archer was the standout bowler for Rajasthan Royals and took two wickets and only conceded 32 runs.

In reply, Rajasthan Royals got a dream start with their openers. Yashasvi Jaiswal managed to make 51 runs by facing 37 balls, and Sanju Samson made 31 runs by facing only 19 balls; however, he was retired hurt. Moreover, Nitish Rana made 51 runs by playing only 28 balls. This was the Rajasthan Royals match to win; however, due to a brilliant last over by Mitchell Starc, he managed to draw the match for the Delhi Capitals.
