The Zahra Homes Project by CM Punjab has been officially launched.

The Zahra Homes/Maskan Ravi project has been launched, and it is officially stated by CM Punjab, Maryum Nawaz, that in the event that they have settled 100 families by providing them with houses via Zahra Homes schemes. She said it was a big achievement of her government that, in just a span of 2.5 months, people are starting to get benefits from the Zahra homes scheme. 

She stated that only well-deserved people would benefit from the Zahra Homes scheme. She said that it is a big boost for her provincial government that 100 families got their own roof due to the Zahra Homes scheme. She stated we are focusing on 2.2 million people in Punjab, because they do not have any home or plot. Our aim is to target these people so that they have their own roof and shelter.

She also stated there are people who own plots but cannot afford to build houses who will also benefit from the Zahra Homes scheme and will be able to build their own roofs and shelters via interest free loan. Moreover, she also stated that she will personally monitor this scheme to ensure that merit and transparent methods and systems are applied.

She stated RUDA and the local Ministry of Housing achieved this by working day and night. She also thanked them; she stated that this was possible due to their support. Moreover, in the event, she said that people who have been allotted or selected for Zahra homes or would be selected that this house/roof would be yours forever. 

She stated officially the government wants 100,000 families to benefit from Zahra homes within a year by providing 100,000 families 100,000 homes. She said that people who have 1 to 10 Marla plots will also benefit because the scheme also provides 1.5 million PKR and will be paid back via easy monthly installments over 7 years by paying up to 14,000 PKR a month. Moreover, there won't be a single penny more charged, as this loan would be an interest-free loan. 

Additionally, she also stated that the first five families would get benefits by getting free furniture under Zahra homes scheme.
