BISE Develops AI Application for Making Exams Transparent

The Task Force Committee for Boards, chaired by Mazamil Mahmood of BISE Lahore, held a meeting on Saturday with Dr. Farrukh Naveed, Secretary of the Higher Education Department, and Zaid bin Maqsood, Lahore Commissioner and Board Chair, to discuss and plan on making the 2025 Matric examination transparent and fair. This meeting was also attended by BISE Lahore Secretary Rizwan Nazir and Controller of Examinations Zahid Mian.

Moreover, this is the first time that Pakistan is focusing on using an AI-based system for a transparent and fair examination, which will be held in Lahore. BISE will be focusing on deploying staff in a more efficient and transparent manner. BISE has develope an automated process to deploy examination staff like superintendents, deputy superintendents, and invigilators, and the BISE AI application will assign them duties without formal or verbal communication.

BISE will use an AI application and system; BISE has developed an AI application to help education boards and higher education boards to make the examination process more transparent and fair. Moreover, there will be 920 assigned examination centers for matric exams, which is a massive increase of 52%, and last year there were only 478 centers. Moreover, the exam will be given to 568,854 students this year. Additionally, with the help of the BISE AI system, any compiled personnel, any rejected staff, or any suspended person won't be hired with the help of BISE's AI application for exams.

Tahir Yaqoob is the brain behind the AI application of BISE, and he got his training from Silicon Valley. The BISE AI system will be designed to collect data of teachers from third parties and first parties and manage the data of 100,000 teachers. It is an automated process to assign duties to teachers without any physical or verbal intervention. This will allow them to reduce the risk of getting assigned to favorite places and prevent cheating and bribes.

It is hoped BISE spreads its AI application to all education departments of Pakistan, including private institutions and other provincial examination boards, and education must utilize this AI system as cheating in Pakistan is very common in board exams, which discourages students from studying and encourages them to cheat in the exams.
